More Fort Belvoir services →New computer, new duty station, no hassle
Many Fort Belvoir families replace a computer right before or right after a PCS move. We transfer your files and photos, set up email and printers, install what you use, and securely wipe the old machine so your personal information doesn’t travel with it.
We work around move dates and can set up a computer before the household goods arrive.
“Daryl has been my go-to-guy for years. I have always found him to be very responsive and great at diagnosing problems. Recently, I had a hard drive failure on a Friday when I urgently needed my computer over the weekend. Daryl was able to get me up and running until he could install a new drive on Monday. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL! We are fortunate to have him in our neighborhood.”
New computer setup near Fort Belvoir often comes right after a PCS move. We set up the new machine, transfer files from the old one or from your backup, and connect it to Wi-Fi, printers and any devices that made the trip.
We also make sure the spouse at home can manage the essentials: backups, updates, the password manager and video calling. If a computer was damaged in the move, we can recover files from its drive before setting up the replacement.
Setting up after a move
Unpack the computer and router first, and keep the boxes until everything works. We set up the network, the computer and the printer together, then test video calls in the rooms you will use most. Our PCS move tech setup service handles the whole house in one visit.
