Pop-ups, slowdowns, strange behavior? If your computer has been infected with viruses, malware, or spyware, Mount Vernon Computers will clean it up and protect it going forward. We serve Falls Church families and businesses with thorough virus and malware removal that doesn’t just address the symptoms — we eliminate the root infection and set up protection to prevent it from coming back.
Infections don’t always announce themselves with dramatic warnings. Sometimes the only sign is a computer that’s running slower than usual, a browser that keeps redirecting, or programs that open on their own. If something feels off, Falls Church residents trust us to check their systems thoroughly and provide honest answers about what we find — along with the security tools and guidance to stay protected.
Deep-Level Scanning
We use professional-grade tools that find threats consumer antivirus misses — rootkits, trojans, and more.
Future Protection
After cleanup, we install and configure proper security software to prevent reinfection.
Safety Education
We teach you practical habits to recognize phishing, scams, and suspicious downloads going forward.

We remove unwanted search engines, toolbars, and redirect scripts, reset your browser to a clean state, and help you recognize the signs.
We help you choose the right antivirus solution, configure it properly, and set up automatic updates for ongoing protection.
We trace persistent pop-ups and suspicious redirects to their source — malware, rogue extensions, or compromised settings — and eliminate them.
We update your OS, close vulnerabilities, configure your firewall, and tighten permissions to strengthen your system against future threats.
Practical advice about safe browsing, email vigilance, password management, and update practices — no fear-mongering, just honest guidance.

My teenager did not properly back up her laptop. So, when it totally crashed she lost access to her English final and all her junior year school files. In a panic we called Daryl on a Sat morning. He was able to retrieve all her files and make them available for use on either a PC or Mac. We have both and were not sure which computer would be used to finish up the school year. We had the all her files by 6pm that same Sat. You will not go wrong with Daryl. His prices are reasonable and we found him knowledgeable and honest. We will be using Daryl again for any future problems.Read full review
Great experience working with Mount Vernon Computers. They were helpful and understanding regarding my data recovery issue and had more reasonable prices than other shops in the area.Read full review
Daryl is a phenomenal resource. He is competent and professional, but very personable. He has never shamed me for my occasional (OK, frequent) ignorant questions about my software nightmares. He just patiently explains the concept and informs me of my options. He then works with blazing speed and before I know it, I am back in business. You will not be sorry if you use his services.Read full review
