Charging Issues We Handle
PSU replacement
A tired power supply can cause dead starts. We confirm it and install a new one.
Dead computer testing
A dead computer is often a simple power fault. We test each part to find it.
Unexpected power-offs
Random power loss is tested under load so we can see the problem and fix it.
Charger replacement
We check charger wattage and cable condition so the laptop charges at full speed.
Power surge repair
Power surges can damage chargers, power supplies and boards. We assess each one.
UPS setup
We recommend and install surge protection sized for your computer and network gear.
Batteries that drain fast
A replacement battery brings back a full day of use on most laptops.
USB-C port repair
If the charger only works at an angle, we repair or replace the port.
Chargers that go missing
In busy households, chargers get borrowed, lost and stepped on. A damaged charger can stop charging or even harm the laptop. We test yours, help you get the correct replacement and label it so it finds its way back to the right laptop.
What customers say
I was extremely satisfied with the services I received from Mount Vernon Computers. Mr. Elliot was knowledgeable and efficient in salvaging my hard drive from my previous computer and setting up my new PC.Read full review
Daryl has always done exactly what needs to be done, for the price quoted, and in the time estimated. He doesn’t take advantage of my relative tech ignorance, and answers all of my questions – even the stupid ones. You can’t go wrong.Read full review
