Mount Vernon Computers is a small, local tech support company serving homes and small businesses across Northern Virginia. Many of our customers are older adults who want someone patient and kind to explain things clearly. We’re looking for part-time help with flexible hours.

Two ways to work with us
Part-time on-site field technician
Visit homes and small offices across Northern Virginia to fix computers, set up printers and Wi-Fi, move files to new devices, and teach customers how to use their technology. Flexible scheduling. Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Part-time remote support technician
Help customers by phone and secure remote session with software problems, email, printers, slowdowns, and account security. Flexible scheduling, working from home.
A typical week
- Fix real problems. Troubleshoot Windows and Mac computers, printers, Wi-Fi, email, and phones.
- Set people up. Install new computers, move files and photos, and set up backups.
- Keep people safe. Remove viruses and scam software and help customers recognize phishing.
- Explain clearly. Walk customers through what you did in plain English, without jargon.
What matters to us
- Patience and kindness. You enjoy helping people who aren’t comfortable with technology.
- Solid troubleshooting skills. Windows, macOS, printers, home networks, and Microsoft 365 or Google accounts.
- Reliability. You show up when you say you will and follow through.
- Honesty. You recommend only what customers actually need.
Certifications are welcome but not required. Tell us what you know and what you’ve worked on.
