Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use our website easily. Here’s what we do, and how to reach us.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Our commitment

Many of our customers are seniors, so we design our website to be easy to read and easy to use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Large, readable text and strong color contrast.
  • Descriptive text for meaningful images, for people using screen readers.
  • Forms with clear labels that can be filled in using only a keyboard.
  • Headings in a logical order so pages are easy to scan and navigate.
  • Buttons and links that say exactly what they do, like “Call (703) 635-4265” or “Request a Visit.”
  • Pages that work on phones, tablets and computers, and when zoomed in.

Known limitations

The interactive maps on our About and Service Areas pages can be hard to use with a keyboard or screen reader. The same information – the towns we serve – is also listed as plain text on those pages.
